Congratulations on reaching 500 episodes, looked a bit shaky there for a bit!! Always a great listen guys, roll on 1000!!!
Sorry about the audio on this one, everyone. Not the way we wanted to ring in #500. It's certainly not the norm for us. It won't happen again.
TLOS
congrats on 500
great show but whats with the bashing on josh barnett? he is a legend and is still relevant
roids can give you some advantage but it will not creat a great fighter and wrestler that barnett was and is
i dont disagree for PED checking but i think that it is done mostly for family values in america and therefore not done as much in other countries
maybe just like weight should be even with fighters, should natural testosterone levels be even before the fight and not allow fighters to fight with uneven levels?
regardless of barnett's performance enhancers his record still speaks for itself
now in my 30's I cannot lift nearly as much weight without some pain and therefore rely on more supplements than I needed in 20's so I sympathize with fighters who have been in the sport as long as barnett and still need to support themselves into their 30's
if these natural anabolics etc were banned then I dont think there is anyway I would maintain my performance into my 30's, so I dont understand why these indirect supplemnets are legal and not steroids - altough thank god they are
now that congress is thinking of banning these supplements we may as well consider ourselves elderly by age of 35 if we are into bodybuilding or combat sports
once again I am not agreeing with steroids but in a controlled environment it may not be as dangerous- just look at Dr. Life's work
altough it definitely is dangerous if abused- you may find yourself wandering bathrooms exposing yourself to strangers or something worse
just my 2cents
I don't care if MMA fighters are tested or not. What I do care about is fighters having a level playing field when fighting. So either everyone one gets tested or no one does, just like in Japan. I don't agree with testing random people.
Congratulations on 500 guys. TLOS the best MMA podcast period!
Congratulations !!!!!
500th episode - It's good.
(Sorry, it sounds really bad)
Update: Actually I just found that "Handsome" Matt Wiman moved out to california and trained with "The Skrap Pack" led by Jake Shields and Gilbert Melendez for prepare for Mac Danzig
