You're an angry dude!. My thing is Rashad won against a rusty Rampage, coming into camp heavy etc. Now i take nothing away from Rashad (he won the fight) but a none rusty in shape Rampage beats Rashad. Rashad was at his best, where as Rampage didnt look to be the best Rampage he can be. Props to Rampage for not taking a tune up fight and just getting in there with one of the top guys but man, he should have taken a less-er opponent and used the extra time that would have given him to get back into shape. And Knock Rashad the fuck out.
Here's a thought. If it was a real street fight and no rules, who do u think would win?
RAMPAGE!
First let The Cody point out, this was NOT supposed to be "The Cody's Corner" I could not find the time to get to this weeks blog due to helping out the girlfriend with personal trouble. Yes thats right Anonymous GIRLFRIEND I know you never have seen a girl up close so therefore never had one but even the fat fuck pretend reporter has something you don't.
See The Cody has been a Rampage fan ever since he destroyed Kevin Randleman. It was one of the first MMA fights I'd ever seen. So granted I was a little pissed off when Rampage didnt really get a chance to fight because Rashad homo hugged him the entire time.
But even I admit I did go a little too far, I do apologize for that. I dont apologize for calling Rashad a bitch because he is but I apologize for some of the things I said like "if you think he used effective strategy your a bitch to" The Cody doesnt mean that (accept for my happy friend Anonymous up there).
I have always taken sports to heart and i will always be bias. But that is what makes The Cody....well The Cody.
Oh and 1 last thing, Anonymous you are really boring the hell out of me with your same insult over and over again. How about coming up with something diffrent man I mean really? We both know all your trying to do is copy me....hey there is no shame in wanting to be like The Cody. We know you have a man crush on me and want to do things that are only legal in prison, I dont mean to break your heart but I dont swing off that side of the plate plus I have a beautiful girlfriend..so sorry dude cant help you out. But you may want to try some gay chat rooms, oh you will find someone fast guranteed. And dont be afraid to tell your mom and dad its ok, they will hate you just the same.
Cody,
We have seen this over and over in MMA. A Fighter says they are going to stand and trade, but as soon as the fight starts, they go for a take down.
Cody, do you notice the way how some of the Greg Jackson's, Firas Zahabi, and Trevor Wittman's fighters fight lately? do you notice a pattern?
Greg Jackson's fighters, Firas Zahabi's fighters, and Trevor Wittman's fighters ALL cross train with each other's camp. Except when Kenny Florian fought Clay Guida, I think that is the only time where there wasn't cross training between camps.
At end of the day it is about sticking with the "Game Plan" regardless of getting a KO, Sub, or Not.
I will go far as this, I believe that there shouldn't be any stands-up or breaking up clinches in MMA fights. I don't care if the opponent on top had a stroke in the fight, it should be the responsibility of the guy on the bottom to stand-up the fight, not the ref
I agree with Tim on all his points, and I agree with Joe that if Quinton were at his best he would probably beat Rashad. But Quinton was not at his best. Not even close. And I knew he wouldn't be. I knew he wouldn't be a year ago when I picked Rashad and I knew it now.
Quinton had a chance to finish Rashad, but he didn't, because he was gassed. And that's pathetic. More pathetic than any lay and pray, which Rashad did not.
Rashad is one of the best implementers of opponent customized strategies, and Quinton is among the worst.
And Quinton will never be on top of his game ever again, sad as that is. Because he's lazy and the quality of fighters is leaving him in the dust. The days of being able to get by on talent in Pride is gone.
Cody you are such a sad case I don't even know if your bitterness is satisying. You can date all the hot girls you want, but please use a condom.
Cody,
This is MMA, Not Felony Fights. Please go back to Felony Fights.
i hate it when assholes use third person....
the cody this is at you please do not do that it classless......
Ok, listen up. This is something that has been bothring me for a while now. GRAMMER AND SPELLING!
How hard is it? If you are saying something, i.e. using "you are" in a shortened way it spelled "you're". Notice the apostrophe as a seperator between the two words so as to join them, ergo, shorten them.
Bias. If you have a Bias with something, then you are BIASED... notice the spelling.
"could of". again this phrase was invented by shortening or indeed joining the two words together "could have", hence the shorterned term "COULD'VE".
I dont mean to get all educated on your asses but we're not the uneduacted fucks that the general stiff media say we are, who watchtwo men fighting in a cage with tattoo's etc, etc.
And punctuate your sentences people. God invented full stops and commas for a reason.
Saying that, Rampage over Rashad under normal fight conditions, both fighters regularly fighting. i.e., no ring rust etc, etc.
PS. this is not an attack on your spelling or anything Cody. Props to you for taking the time out of your personal life to contribute regularly when others can't be bothered to get off their lazy arses and have a section on here, however small.
Rashad barely fought. Lots of dancing and hugging. It's half way to WWE with all damn takedowns and wrestling. It's almost looks fake with all the avoiding, clinching and takedowns. I can just imagine Rashad telling Rampage to clinch..."We gotta drag this out for ten more minute."
I agree with Cody that Rashad sucked crap in this fight. Like the majority of his fights. I'm not even jazzed about the next ppv with more and more fights becoming wrestling matches. Blah!
Rob Hunter,
Most of the fighters on UFC 115 are fighters who like to keep it on the feet.
Chris and JDH... please stop posting "The Cody's" articles on your page. He is making you guys and your site look bad...
Cody... you are a moron. Please try to remember this is a sport. Like in all sports, winning is all that matters. When a football team needs just 3 points they kick a field goal, they don't do a Hail Mary pass instead because it is more exciting. Rashad beat him, plain and simple. If you are not entertained enough go watch TNA Wrestling.
Good post. I feel the same way about that fight. Until I found out that Rashad wasn't really talking to Rampage when he was talking about putting someone to sleep and getting them a snuggie...rather he was talking to the audience about how he was going to hug Rampage to death and put the audience to sleep. I now have but one question: Where's MY Snuggie Rashad!? You owe me!
