considering everyone and their mother had Rampage(the lazy wolfslair camp)is going to lose to the superior fighter. Dude actually defeated Machida the unbeatble in a 3 rounder(usually won by points) fight.

He deserves props.

would Florion be able to defeat Edgar?

K-1 in the past did have cross-over boxers in the past. Sometimes the kickboxer won and sometimes the boxer won.

Pacquiao Vs. Margarito was very tough to watch towards the end, because it such a beatdown. the ref should of stopped it.

George Sotiropoulos Vs. Dennis Siver & B.J. Penn Vs. Jon Fitch has been set for UFC 127 in Australia February of 2011.

MMAJunkie.com scored it for Machida 29-28

Sherdog.com's Jordan Breen scored it 30-28 Machida

Sherdog.com's Chris Nelson scored it 30-29 Machida

Sherdog.com's Mike Whitman scored it 29-28 Machida

ESPN's Josh Gross scored it 29-28 for Machida

MMAWeekly.com staff scored ti 29-28 for Machida

fightmetric.com scored it 29-29 draw, but if there was a must decision like in SRC. they would of given the decision to Machida.

Dave Meltzer from yahoo.com & f4wonline.com did score it 29-28 Rampage.

if people want to watch 3 X 3 minute round mma fights or 3 X 2 minute round mma fights. it's called shooto d-class, shooto c-class, or amateur mma.

here is the thing with the 7 X 5 minute rounds. it takes more energy to wrestle and grapple, then to strike.

few current ufc fighters do say to fans that want longer rounds: "you have no idea how long a 15 minute fight is in the cage when you are competing."

on a side note. thank God that rogan and goldberg pronounced Jose Aldo's first name correctly portuguese, not spanish. hopefully it sticks unlike luis arthur cane. when cane made his ufc debut, they pronounced his last name correctly. after that, they stopped pronouncing it correctly
few fans twittered: "the judges who gave it rampage should never judge a again."

I am surprised that their are a lot of people that felt Rampage deserved the decision I thought I would have to come on here and defend the decison damn.

Looking at it in an unbias term i think it was a draw round 1 draw round 2 Rampage and Machida round 3. Round for me was hard to call.

People making those idiotic tweets are either Machida fans or mainstream fans because this aint effin PRIDE where its the fight is judged as a whole, if it was then you clearly give the fight to Machida. But this is judged round by round, sure Machida caused the most significant damage of the whole fight in the 3rd round but that doesnt mean he won the fight.

People need to start looking at the fight as a whole and stop worrying about who did the most damage. Rampage had Rashad Evans in trouble in the 3rd round after 2 boring rounds of fighting but he didnt win that fight. Nate Marquardt caused more damage in the 3rd round then Chael Sonnen did in the first 2 rounds and he didnt win the fight. So why is it that Machida should win just for winning the 3rd round significantly.

Everyone knows I am probably the biggest Rampage fan here, but honestly if your gonna say Machida won tell me what he did outside of round 3 compared to Rampage then make a case. Thats all I am saying.

"Dr. MMA" Tim Lee said...

mma journalists who scored for machida are saying this:

four leg kicks by Machida in the first minutes which was more than Rampage did. Machida also had Rampage pressed against the octagon twice as long as Rampage did.

even Rampage said that he thought he lost the fight.

Karo Parisyan has been cut by the UFC.

Barry Pape said...

personally, I had the fight a 29-29 draw. There was little action, ineffective offense, and generally a lackluster display from both fighters.

On the UFC cuts front, Seth Petruzelli, Goran Reljic, and Peter Sobotta have also been cut by the UFC. No shock about Petruzelli, minor shock about Reljic. I think that Reljic and Sobotta will be back in the future after getting some wins in the smaller feds.

Gerald Harris has also been cut by the UFC

Alexio said...

did you notice that the harris -falcao first round ended 6 seconds earlier?
someone didnt want harris to lose :/

"Dr. MMA" Tim Lee said...

Alexio,

there is an investigation going on about it. so we will see if anything comes up though
