Amateur MMA in California is trying out the 1/2 point must system. So you have the option to score a close round 10-9.5, instead of 10-9

3 X 3 minute rounds exist in Amateur MMA. Some Amateur promotions have it 3 X 2 minute rounds. If fans want to watch 3 X 3 minute rounds go and watch Amateur MMA or Amateur Shooto D-class or C-class fights.

K-1 in the past did have cross-over boxers in the past. Sometimes the kickboxer won and sometimes the boxer won.
